Hi guys,
I have a concern regarding my Express Entry application that I hope somebody can help me out with:
So I submitted my Express Entry Application on April 11 2020. On June 8 I received a notification to submit an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check based on fingerprints, in which I was given 60 days to submit this documentation (deadline August 8th).
Due to delays as a result of COVID-19, I was unable to submit this document within the required 60 days (local RCMP was not processing these at the time / backlog with booking 3rd party fingerprinting). The date in which the fingerprints were taken and assessed (by 3rd party) was July 31 2020, which was within the 60 day timeline, but I did not receive the corresponding paperwork until August 18, 2020. I uploaded this document to my Permanent Residence application on August 19, 2020 (which was 11 days after the given deadline).
Just wondering where do I stand with my application? I've read on the IRCC website that my application may get rejected due to the fact that I did not submit it within 60 days, or submit any proof of booking getting fingerprints done. I was aware that I needed to submit my RCMP fingerprints, but my local RCMP office has not been taking electronic fingerprints since COVID-19 kicked off. I then found out some time later that it could be done via 3rd party, which I did late July,
My current working holiday visa expires September 25th so I'm trying to decide what my options are. I'm consider one of the following:
1) Submit a note through IRCC webform to explain that I have completed my RCMP fingerprints, but could not submit them with my PR application until after the 60 day deadline (as a result of COVID-19)
2) Revoke my current application, re-enter the pool, and apply for PR again (and bridging visa immediately after) - I'd like to avoid this option if possible, as I don't want to pay application fee again, and I'm also cutting it tight with time as I only have 4 weeks to do this (Only 2 express entry draws left)
Any advice on the above would be greatly appreciated - Thanks
