Last Name change

Hi everyone! I recently got my Ecopr and still waiting for my card. I want to change my last name to my husband’s. Is it okay if I just change my last name on Health card/driver licence etc for now?
I am thinking to go to my home country later this year and renew my passport there so when I come back I can change my PR card. Has anybody done similar process?

When you marry you don't have to do anything to change your last name. You just adopt your spouse's last name and refer to your marriage certificate as basis for name change. You should be able to get any documents with your spouse's last name if you produce your marriage certificate.
I have never done this (I am a male and I didn't take my female spouse's last name), so I do not speak from personal experience and I don't know for sure how it works in Canada, but above is how it works in the US, and (since we have similar system with most of laws grounded in Anglo-Saxon/English law) I assume it should be similar to it in Canada.

Yes. Be careful about booking flights (use passport name).
