Hi All,
I have been through this process before over a decade ago so I know in general what to go through but things change and now I am sponsoring a new spouse from a different country and I have a few last minute questions before sending off the application.
The first few are about "Not Applicable" answers. In essence I am wondering if I can represent my spouse by making minor additions to her forms.
1. If a form is validated and didn't warn us about missing information is it OK to not type Not Applicable in every available blank place to various questions? Can I still write in some not applicables?
2. IMM3903 Document Checklist - Immigrant. My wife left blank the document checkboxes if they did not apply to her so she was not including those documents. To prove that we know we didn't overlook these sections should I write Not Applicable beside all those sections?
3. IMM0008 General Application. My wife has only one citizenship so she left blank the place where it offered the chance to enter a second citizenship. Should I write Not Applicable there?
4. IMM5669 Schedule A Background Declaration.
(a) Her parents are not deceased so where it asks for date if deceased she left it blank but should I still write Not Applicable beside the blank dates?
(b) My wife emailed me a new page 2 as she wanted to change the name of her company to the more official registered name but my paper is a different size and shade of white and my printer ink is a darker black so it might be a red flag. Is it reasonable to keep the original page and add another page where she explains the alternate and better name for her company?
I hope to send off the application in the week of Victoria Day without waiting for another courier from her country for small changes like 4(b) but I don't want to delay a decision for 2 months because of doing things the wrong way in these small things.
