hello guys,

I did not notify CIC abt the change in my address until last week and finally they sent me an e-mail stating that a letter has been sent to me last year to submit documents and when I requested them to send me the letter again, they sent me but the last date of submission is 03-sep-2009, i hardly have one month to prepare these and moreover i could not appear for IELTS during this time as there are no slots available.

Can anyone tell me if the last date for submission of documents can be extended by CIC upon request ?

regards.

First thing you should do, is send what ever documents you have , also take IELTS exam date immediately ( if you don't find in your city try to check in nearby cities)

When you send your doc, attach a covering letter ( letter of explanation and mentioned some valid reason for not providing IELTS result, attach IELTS exam date confirmation as well)

Try your luck

Betn - You should be extra alert in this process, just an advice.

Good Luck

tough...

you have about 45 days.... stick to the timeline and send them everything before Sep-03. enroll for the earliest IELTS exam. Check for registration in person. They close online registration 5 days before physical registration at British Council. If you cannot find a registration, then enroll for the earliest test and send a notarised copy of receipt for the test fee.
Apply for your PCCs immediately. and send whatever you get in time...

you have 45 days.. it's still not so bad... a few tough days ahead... do a little bit of a running around :)

Submitting the documents late is not an issue as long as you let them know in advance that you may be late.
I am not under the fast track scheme and my application was waiting in the q from 2004, When they started processing it in Jan 2009 they came back and requested for additional documents. I had applied from India back then and now I was in London so it was difficult for me to gather all the documents in time and was late. But I assumed that they will understand, I got a letter from them after the deadline saying that my application was refused because of late submission.

I wrote to them requesting to reconsider , stating the reason for the delay and sent all the required documents along with it. They promptly wrote back to me saying that they would reconsider and in the future to let them know in advance if I anticipate any delay.

So write to them using the link below requesting for more time, but try and finish all that you have to as soon as possible.
