Last date is wrong in my roles and responsibility letter.

I worked in an MNC for 7 months. The last date in my official work experience letter is wrong by 2 months. This is because I couldn't formally serve the notice period in my company. I had joined another company before the date that is mentioned in the letter.

Now, please let me know if I would be able to claim this work experience?
Would a letter of explanation along with my mails to HR be enough ?
And In case they reject this work experience, will they also cancel my application ? Is it a big risk trying to claim this work experience ?
