Hi guys, thank you to everyone who has been answering varied questions and queries in this forum.

I have last 3 questions I need help with and will submit my application after that.

Q1. Can I use my industrial internship work experience of 1 year even though I was on tier 4 student visa in the UK at that time. This was like a sandwich course with internship between my first and third year (internship was full time 37.5 hrs/week, paid and have payslips and joining letter).

Q2. I previously submitted my application in June 2016 however due to some reason could not register on job bank :'( . This obviously disqualified my application. Now if I wish to re-apply what is the right way and do I need to mention anywhere in the process that I did apply before (or can I say this is my first application/attempt)

Q3. My current work experience is in a different occupation (project manager - 4163) and previous work experience was as a technical specialist (NOC - 2282). Which NOC should I use in the application?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers :)

Work experience gained while you were a study is fine for work outside of Canada. As long as you were legally allowed to work, and the internship was not part of your qualification.

There is a question about whether you've previously created an EE profile. As far as I know, answering "yes" to this question does not have any negative impact on your application.

Q3. My current work experience is in a different occupation (project manager - 4163) and previous work experience was as a technical specialist (NOC - 2282). Which NOC should I use in the application?
As long as you qualify for both (you have at least 1 year of paid work experience, which has to be continuous if you're applying under FSW), and both are skill level A, B, or O, then it doesn't matter.
But if you're going for PNP, you should first go through the in-demand lists and see if either NOC is listed for any province.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers :)

@ istari, Thanks a lot

My 12 month industrial internship is mentioned in my final transcript from the University and I received 15 credits for it. Does that mean I cannot use it? :-[

Correct, you cannot use it.

Thanks for that. :)

I was actually planning to get the UK police certificate, India police certificate, medicals and employer reference letter even before filling EE application just to save time later.

Do you think that is wise?? ::)

Or, I would need to provide some sort of reference number in these applications linked with my EE application??

Thanks in advance. ;)

2. Also can I show my funds in form of two different fixed deposits? Will there be any complications in this?

Thanks in advance. Wink

Definitely get your reference letters now.
You can also get the PCC for any countries you're not currently living in.

Save the medical until as late as possible. Because once you receive PR, you will have to land in Canada within 1 year of the time your medical was done. So if you get your medical done today, and it takes 8 months for you to receive PR, you will only have 4 months to land in Canada.

The PCC for the country you currently live in is only valid for 6 months.
PCCs for other countries remain valid until you return to that country.

what does return mean ? like even if we are visiting ??
i dont need a PCC for now but wil be good to know... im an indian working in dubai for past 6 years... if i need to get PCC for india, i have to go back to india and apply there... after that, i cannot enter india again until i get my PR stamped, otherwise i have to apply for PCC again...

Whether or not you need a new PCC after visiting seems to be a bit of a grey area. But I think most people on the forum get a PCC after visiting just to be safe.
If you aren't living in India, you would generally get your Indian PCC after you have left India. But if you can't get a PCC while in Dubai, then I suppose it's okay to get it while in India.

You shouldn't reenter the country until after you've submitted your eAPR; you don't have to wait until your visa is stamped.

Thanks @ istari :)

I have submitted my EE application today (wish me luck) and registered on job bank as well.

Next step would be to start collecting all these documents like you said.

Do you think there is anything else I should know?

Cheers again. :)

@ istari,

Regarding the proof of funds: I was thinking of making a fixed deposit in a couple of days and use it's receipt as a proof. I so have the exact required amount as mentioned by IRCC for 1 member (CAD 12,500) as savings. Someone advised me instead of making just one big FD, split it in 2 or 3 parts and make multiple FDs!

Will there be any complications later in the application because combining multiple FD's while showing the proof of funds OR, should I stick to just 1 big FD idea?

Also, do you know how I can get the excel tracker to track my progress (I've seen most people using it on this forum)

Thanks again! :)

Having multiple FDs shouldn't pose any problems.

No idea about the tracker, sorry.
