I am undergoing the skilled worker immigration process. I have sent my degree certificate to be assessed, adn the next stage appears to be booking an English language test at an approved test centre.
There are plenty of centres quite close to where I live, with tests costing around £140.
The question is, do I really need to do an english language test if I have lived in the UK all my life, went to school and got O levels in English and English Literature, did A Levels and eventually completed a university degree at an English university?
As far as I can tell, passing the tests will give me the points I need to immigrate, without the english points, I would not have enough points.
I can understand they have to rate everyone in an equal way, but it just feels like I am paying £140 to gain the points. Am I missing something?
