Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I am just wondering what Test I need to take for EE/CEC...

On the website CELPIP: Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program and IELTS: International English Language Testing System is listed.

CELPIP: Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program

CELPIP has three different tests. You must take the “CELPIP-General 2014” test to support your immigration application.

If you took the test before April 1, 2014, you would have had to take the “CELPIP-General (CELPIP-G)” test.

Note: As of April 1, 2014, you must take the “CELPIP-General 2014” test. The CELPIP-General 2014 scoring grid is different from the CELPIP-G test (see below).
IELTS: International English Language Testing System

IELTS has two options for the reading and writing tests: “General Training” and “Academic.” You must take the “General Training” option.

As the instructions say you must take either CELPIP-General 2014 or IELTS General.

One of the two tests will work: IELTS-General Training or CELPIP-General

You might want to base your decision on which one has an exam you can take the soonest since you can't submit your EE profile until you have the results of your language test.

Yes, thanks.

More to that, the exam format is slightly different between the two tests. One may suit you more than the other.

For instants, I hate talking and answer questions to a recording machine so I opted for IELTS, where I can talk to a real person in speaking section. Others might be concerned that IELTS listening is in British accent and thus go for CELPIP, where recordings are done in Canadian accent.
