Language exam -- expired results?

When I immigrated in 2008 I filed my IELTS results (8 points out 9, way way higher than the basics citizenship requires). Those results have expired by now but -- would the CIC still accept them? Quoting the CIC website "Third-party test results that you already sent to CICfor a previous application as a Federal Skilled Worker". I mean, the CIC must be aware that anyone applying for citizenship must have been many, many years since that language exam... so do they accept something expired or ...?

Hi,

As per the CIC site there is no validity of third party exam has been mentioned. If you had already through with the ielts test and sent it with the immigration application that will work good for citizenship exam...no need to appear again.. you are good to go...go ahead...best of luck.

Agreed. If it says: "Third-party test results that you already sent to CICfor a previous application as a Federal Skilled Worker" and it doesn't mention how old they can be, then you are good to go.

Yah i thinks so..But Will they accept Academic IELTS result? Becasue the told that they will only accept General ielts result.. but acadeemic Ielts has more value than general.

At http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob469.asp they tell you what is accepted and they do say IELTS General Training and NOT Academic. The would also accept CELPIP or TEF.
