Hi,
I need advice about landing in Canada with my spouse but not with my kids at the moment. It will be very inconvenient and expensive for us to travel with the kids before our COPR expires. We intend to do a short trip and return in a couple of months time finally after the expiration of COPR and have received our PR by then.
Our kids are US citizens and dont require visas into Canada. Will it be an issue for us? What options do we have for this? Sponsoring ? Thanks.

If they don't need visas, then the last date of entry will be COPR expiry date. If you can't get your kids before that, then sponsoring them later will be your option, as COPR dates can't be extended. But, it would be best if you can bring them with you and finish the procedures, as the sponsoring process takes almost 12 months.
