Things are not going well with her :(, Can I land without her? what happen if we get separated after the landing?

Sorry to hear. Yes, you can land alone. She can too. If she lands within the allotted time, she will be a PR of Canada as long as she maintains residency obligations (2 years of every 5 rolling).

You can try contacting your consulate before she lands if you want to remove her and it may work.

Out of curiousity, which class did you apply as?

Note that the primary applicant must land first. The secondary application can either land with or after the primary applicant (not before).

So that would mean if the OP wants to risk waiting until the last possible day to land, he could and probably exclude her from landing?

He can try that but if she kicks up a stink and CIC finds out the relationship was over before he "landed", he will be looking at misrepresentation and his PR could be revoked.

If things are not going well and there are no intentions to be together(as evidenced by trying to 'land' without her), then the next step is to notify CIC of a change in his status BEFORE he "lands".

Gotcha. I think trying to land on the last day would a be risky idea anyway. One flight gets cancelled and everything goes haywire from there.

Thanks for your answers, very interesting.

We are still trying to make it work.

If something happens I would let you know. :P
