I'm landing in Toronto tomorrow after receiving COPR. I'm doing a short landing, only staying for a week but hoping to get all the admin sorted and get my PR card on its way to me. I'm flying from the UK and am visa exempt so don't have to worry about re-entry.

From what I've read all I need is my COPR, passport and proof of funds (which normally isn't actually asked for). It seems too easy, am I missing something?

I suggest you take a copy of the following:

1) Original documents of everything you submitted when filing your application

2) Updated bank letter

3) Photographs you submitted with your PP copy for Visa stamping

Some border guards ask more questions than others. If you're prepared to answer the toughest border guard questions the landing process will be a pleasant and short experience.

Congratulations and good luck on your life in Canada. Appreciate if you could inform me how the process goes for you as I plan to complete the landing process at the land border this weekend or next weekend.
