Landing Interview Question

This may be a silly question. But do you just land unannounced in canada and have a landing interview or do you have to book the interview and give them your travel plans ahead of time?

Also if you are visa exempt, and have COPR, do you need to also get an ETA or can you enter the country with your passport and COPR document?

If you are arriving from outside of Canada, you just show up.

You don't need an eTA.
