Im sure this question has been asked many times. My husband, who I sponsored is landing in Toronto very soon. What forms does he have to fill out while in Toronto? And can he fill them out ahead of time? Is IMM 5444 & IMM 5455 correct? Im trying to fill everything out for him tonight, scan it to him so he can copy..... any answer would be great!

Also on IMM 5444 for his personal history I cant fit everything, can I just send along another piece of paper with the information?
ALSO! I had read somewhere on here that upon landing you have to give them all your paperwork from the sponsorship. Is that right?

Thank you,
Kate

Now I have read that he doesn't need to fill anything out. The immigration people at the airport will just ask him for his address take a couple photos of him and send him on his merry ole way. Is that correct? He doesn't read or write english very well at all so it would truly be impossible for him to sit down and fill out paperwork at the airport.

So does he need to fill anything out such as the "application for permanent resident card" or do they just verify his address and whatnot and send him on his way?

Thank you.... again.

My app was inland...
But I guess the paperwork will be the same... Just to confirm personal info, and sign the papers.
Nothing to fill or write other than date and signature....

Pay attention while you wait for him... they might page you and take you inside if is needed.

I heard many times they calling "the party waiting for so and so.... please approach the immigration office located...."

Don't forget to come back and tell us how it went!!!

YAY!!!! Im so excited! He is flying into Toronto and then to Calgary where I will meet him. We just bought his plane tickets! He will be here on Saturday! Thank you everyone for your help!
