I know this has been asked many a times and I wanna know a little more. Let's say I land and carry more than 10k USD in the form of cashier's chek.I know I need to inform immigration officer. Let's says I return back the same day and bring back the cashier's check. Do I have to inform the US immigration too?Is there any tax implication when taking the money out and bringing back in the US.

Regards,

hi,
if you are bringing in a check there's no beed to declare it.
you only need to declare the amount you bring if its in form of cash. you dont have to declare in customs any checks or bonds.

thanks for your inquiry whether it has been asked several times before but it will help others, like for me also because I am planning to land in July and declare only if I've more than 10K at the custom and follow their rules and regulations.
