I don't know if such a thread exist. Please join in discussion about landing procedure from USA to Canada.
To start, I have few questions about landing by car to Canada.

1. Can somebody complete a landing procedure by entering via port of entry at any time of the day (24x7)?

2. If a person is going for few days to canada, does he/she still need to carry settlement funds to canada or just showing US bank account statements is good enough?

3. Is it better to apply for SIN card even if a person is going for few days? Or is it better to wait until a person moves permanently?

I am sure these questions might have raised previously at this forum.

There are lots of landing experience in this forum, but I will let you dig those experiences.

As per specific questions:

1) You will have to check your intended border crossing are open 24/7. Not all borders and immigration are open 24/7.
2) Yes, otherwise you can be refused entry
3) Your choice

Steaky is correct.
Many times they will ask you how much funds you have without actual proof but you do not want to take a chance. American bank statement can be a proof of funds.

Thanks Alex and steaky

I will enter via Seattle to surrey. I will check if it is open at the time of landing. As mentioned, I am planning to take bank statements with me than a cashier cheque since I am coming back to US. I hope it sounds right.

Thanks

One more question.
Do I need to carry a copy of my car title which will be a part of things to follow list.

Thanks
