Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Dear Friends,
I had got nominated for SINP, awaiting for ITA, my spouse is PA, we are planning to land one after another.
Im aware that the landing formalities needs to be done before the medicals expires, does this is applicable for both the applicants including the child below 18 years of age?
What would happen if me(Secondary applicant) would not be able to travel before the expiry of medicals? what are the avenues after that?

Thanks
Sathya

Everyone has to land before the expiry date on the visa. If one or more of the dependents cannot land before the expiry date, they will have to be sponsored by the primary applicant from scratch once that primary applicant is living in Canada. This sponsorship process can take anywhere from several months to a few years. You should do everything you possibly can to land before the expiry date of your visa to avoid having to be sponsored later.

This thread has answers to all your questions http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/landing-in-canada-all-you-need-to-know-t36735.0.html

Thanks Scylla and Stanlee, can you provide more information related to sponsorship program? on a worst case.
I wish to travel once my spouse find the job over there, both leaving our current jobs is riskier, so we have this strategy and besides our son is little young, so that my wife cannot manage alone over there.

Can we also make short duration of landing formalities and return back, after which we can travel later, do we have that option?

Yes, I would recommend you go down that route.

You can just land in Canada and then return to your home country.

Just be aware that in the five years following the landing, you and all dependents must spend at least two years in Canada to be able to easily renew your PR.

plus ensure you can get PR cards sent to a Canadian address and then forwarded to home country else as PR you may find issues coming back without PR card.
