Hi Calgary_man, Hearty Congratulations...

I live in Calgary as well. Can you please share your landing experiences...

Hi Rose,
Landing was fairly smooth.
At Canadian border (CBSA), I enquired about the whole landing process and then went ahead with flagpole. You basically have to leave Canada and re-enter. This can br done either by walking across to US border or drive and uturn or travel to an international airport. I chose going to a closeby border. So i walked across and handed my passport which had one entry for returning immigrant visa that gives me reentery into Canada. At the us side they ask for mailing address and provide you a denial/ inadmissional to us border form and then you walk back to canada border. all the immigration paperwork is done at the canadian side and you are made to sign and acknowledge the legal documents.
Total processing for landing takes around 30 minutes.
Finally you are given an information sheet and original copy of confirmation or permanent residence document.

CONGRATS! CALGARY MAN!

I am NEXT! :)
