Landing fee when to pay?

I received IA, sent medicals and documents. I have not paid the right of landing fee yet. When do I need to pay it? Can I pay it after I get my passport request ? Can I pay it when I enter Canada?

CHC will not issue COPR until fee paid, so you can send it with your passport, or depending on the office they may request the fee before sending the passport request.

I keep hearing that after the fee has been paid (presuming you have passed medicals and police clearances - which I have) you will get asked for a passport.

I submitted a copy of mine at the initial application stage, which has since ran out.

Its obviously not a big deal to get another, just more expense, which can wait if we are talking months rather than weeks.

What are your views on timescales and likelyhood of a positive outcome, if it has gone so far as asking for the fee.

If the RPRF is requested, and medicals have been completed, then the next step in most cases is passport request.

In my case they asked for RPRF together with medical exam request and before completion of
background checks.

Hi Shah, Medicals done in October 2011. PPR end of April 2012. Got visa 19th May 2012.
