Mine was really easy.
I drove up to the border with all of my things in my car. Gave the woman at the border my passport and my husband's passport (he drove with me) and told her I was landing. She asked if I had any goods to follow, and then gave me a yellow slip of paper and told me to go to the secondary screening area.
I got to the secondary screening area, parked, got out, gave them the yellow paper, and was directed to Immigration at the other end of the counter. The guy who processed my forms seemed kinda new, but was being helped by an older guy who seemed to know what he was doing. Signed the B4, filled out a form regarding my car, waited around a bit. At the end, I was given a packet explaining things like how to apply for a SIN, and the residency requirements for keeping my PR. Everyone was friendly and the whole thing took only 20-30 minutes.
