Hi!

Me and my fiancee are in Canada, and got our COPR these days. We would like to land this weekend at Niagara at the border, but my fiancee does not have American visa. I spoke with CIC and the lady there told me this should not be a problem, the US officers will let her in the US briefly for the point of coming back. She said this is called a 5-point turn and that the US officers are acommodating such cases.

My fiancee did some research and she is worried that she will get a "denial of entry" slip which will later affect her travelling to the US.

Has anyone else done the landing this way?

Thanks!

More than half of the forum members have done their landing in this way. It is called Administrative refusal and is really a quick and simple process.

thanks!

but does it have any implications with her future travels to the US?

Like, checking the box "Have you ever been denied entry or visa to the US?" in her future applications?

No, you will not need to check that box for admin refusals. It is not even recorded in their system as a denied entry.
