Hello,

I touched down in Canada today and had the "inteview" with the immigration officer. I handed over the CoPR, which she kept and have a spare one for myself. I also have a spare photo, which was not attached to either copy of the CoPR. When I asked what I do with the photo, the officer didn't know but guessed that I need to send it off to get my pr card. She said it needs to match the CoPR they will send to the people who make the card. Is this right? I thought the card would just be sent in the post. Does anybody know what the spare photo is for?

Thanks

Just keep the photo. You don't need to send it anywhere. They will directly scan the photo for your PR card from the application forms you sent earlier.

Thanks pal. So they use the small digital photo from the EE application, rather than the big one requested by the visa office? In my case, the photos are different.

What I meant is that they will use one of the photos you have already sent as part of application. It could be the one from Visa office as well. They should already have a scan of that one as well. Don't worry about sending photos again.

Just to support what alok4best wrote: They will indeed simply use the photo you sent to them when you got the passport request.
