Landing Amtrak/Via rail

I wonder if anyone has landed using the train.

My plan is take the Toronto-niagara falls (us side) train in the morning spend few hours there and take the same train back from Niagara Falls (us side) to cross the border back in Canada.

Is it doable ? Do you need to follow the same rules as the rainbow bridge.
