Landed status and open work permit

Recently a few open work permits and landed immigrant status for caregivers have been issued at the same time in my area but the wait time seems to be 7 to 8 months for processing.

I just want to share my timeline:
December 10,2009-received by CIC, Vegreville
February 25 2010- started to process
Until now I have not heard anything from the Immigration...I am very much worried since it says in the update in ecas that 7-8 months but 8 months already lapsed and it is still in process. Please anyone who has the same situation!!!!!

It is probably a similar situation to the one cited by dben where the OWP and PR status were issued at the same time. How amny employers did you have? And did you apply through the old system (24 months)?

Yes I applied using the old processing. I had 2 employers before. Does it affect the processing of papers?

It's taking CPC-V longer to process these days. It is now 7-8 months and the website states applications received on Nov 28, 2009 are currently being processed. So it is probably because it is summer and the officers who process these applications need to have their days under the sun too . Please keep us posted.

Hi chusana. I sent my application in June 24, 2010. the processing times are now 12 to 13 months up to April 2011. I know nothing about my application, did you get your papers already? did you have to do medical test?
