Landed but still can't get SIN number...

Hello, we just experienced this today. My husband has been in Canada a week, we came via Montreal and we went into apply for his SIN in Manitoba where we live and they said he is "flagged" not sure what that means. But they took all his info and said they would submit it and he would get something in a few weeks. Now we wait.

I landed on 9th Sep in Montreal and its 20th Oct today and I still don't have a SIN. Service Canada has changed the priority to 'Urgent' as I have a job, just that the employer has refused to onboard me, so I can't work. The are not able to give a reason why they have referred my file to Immigration again. But, I sense that if we are to take control of this situation, visiting the port of entry is the only solution, as SC is clueless and IRCC is only answering Afghanistan specific calls.
