4 weeks for advertisement and then after the lmo application is sent in, 2-3 months.

What?!..and then another 2 to 3 months of waiting for the processing of WP?..is it like that?..

Unfortunately, Yes is takes quite a long time to get an LMO that is why some employers choose not to go through with getting it unless they absolutely have to. If you pass the work permit application online it only currently takes a month. Faster than paper application which is about 2.

I am not sure if I completely understand "If you pass the work permit application online"

Can you give me the link to this...

This only depends upon where in the world are you located. Putting it plainly it is INCORRECT to assume that if you applied online, your application will be processed "INSIDE canada". You are still catered by the visa office of your home country or the one you have been legally permanently residing.

Applying online only makes it a little faster in general. Time estimates on the official CIC link pretty cleanly explains this.

The one month time only applies to people who applied from INSIDE CANADA.

For those applying from OUTSIDE of Canada, processing times are viewed by visa office.

Well my employer had an open LMO ready to go for me. It only took 2 weeks for CIC to put my name on the LMO. But it usually takes about a month or two from my understanding.
