Concerning the New FSWP, Kenny has made a couple of statements in Twitter that simply are totally misleading and costed the potential applicants lost of time and effort.
Last July about the occupation list
We do not intend to limit applications to particular professions, but applicants will have to fall w/in NOCs O, A & B.
The new Skilled Worker Program will be limited to applicants in NOCs 0, A, & B, but won't be limited to particular occupations.

Today about the occupation list
The new intake of FSWP applications this May will have a numerical cap and be limited to certain occupational categories.

In January about the credential assessment
We hope to release the list of designated educational assessment agencies for FSWP applications in mid-February.
Today about the credential assessment
We've decided to release the list of designated educational assessment agencies at same time as the occupations list, in April.

And then in contradiction to his often statement that the new FSWP processing will last less than a year he surprises us few days ago with his Tweet:
The May intake of new FSWP applications will be very limited & will go to the back of the queue, behind MI-1s (except for AEOs)

Some people like me have taken EILTS and paid for immigration consultants based on his Tweet that there will not be an occupation list,,,,,,,,,,,now I am almost sure that my NOC will not be included and I lost all of this money and effort!

I think you have read and understood wrong. Categories and Profession are two different things , IMHO.
Categories are O A B, showing the level of skills/position in various streams of profession.
He has not contradicted himself on this one..

I Think he means an occupation list becuase of this tweet

We've decided to release the list of designated educational assessment agencies at same time as the occupations list, in April.

Oh....how I soo agree with you. Kenny is nothing but an unprofessional, lying politician. And it's amazing how unaware he is of all the plight that his "statements" have caused people. He even says he is trying to save people money by declaring ECA and NOC list together! NOw only if he could give back money and time we've spent on IELTS, and other stuff.

Permanent residency and Citizenship of Canada is a privilege, not a right! As a free nation, Canada and its representative can do whatever considered good for their country, economy and people.

I agree, the process is long and requires a lot of patience. Calling people names is not nice, it does not help your cause or anyone elses in that matter.

It's not calling names if it is TRUE. Where I am from, somebody who lies frequently is called a LIER. We can only judge people and process as we see it. We are given incomplete information, so in that case we do have to be patient. But downright LYING and misleading the applicants? That's a different breed.

"Canada and its representative can do whatever considered good for their country, economy and people." Sure, noone's arguing they can't. But, I just am failing to see what good the canadians are getting by misleading the applicants and leading them into a wild goose chase. I am not commenting on the intent, but only on the process. You know, they could do what's best for them without, may be, lying to people repeatedly?

I believe Canada is a free, democratic nation. So, expressing opinion should also be free, I suppose!

And where exactly are you from?....

Does it matter? What do YOU call someone that lies?

Well said NAMASTE .Each and every word makes sense.LIAR should be called as LIAR >:(.contradicting own statement repeatedly indirectly has caused wastage of applicant money. They should have announced ECA list and NOC LIST much earlier.Applicants have spend lot of money on IELTS ,pcc etc.Anyway Kenny being a minister had minimum courtesy to tweet he would announce noc and ECA at same Time.people who comment about privilege of pr are mostly in Canada ,Citizen or pr holders.FEEL AGONY OF APPLICANTS BEFORE COMMENTING.This forum meant for sharing opinion too about immigration flaws by minister.ATLEAST NAMASTE HAD COMMENTED IN DECENT WAY.

Can not agree more. Indeed every time I find someone repeating the line: immigration is a privilege,,,,etc, I look into their timeline and they have been granted the visa and landed safely!! I am sure they had another point of view during their application process.
As for Kenny I realize that there is no legal commitment for him to stick to his July statement but there is at least a MORAL duty that he does not mislead people and abuse his position to cause them more loss of time and money. I do not care that he puts rules which exclude me if this is good for Canada,,,but he should not claim otherwise and change his mind in the last moment to harm me!
Look at my timeline , I applied since 2007 and have not even get my medical till now. When I hared of the new FSWP I decided to reapply and tool EILTS again (the old one expired) and made my spouse take it too,,,,but here Kenny changed his opinion once more!!
