I was just wondering If anyone here has actually worked for immigration or if you know how much time does an immigration officer spend on one case ? I ask this because I will be guiding my spouse through the sponsor questionnaire and just wondering if its even worth writing long essay type answers describing all the details of our contact with each other .

you need to take those questions very very seriously, answer them at length, that will be the difference between an approval and a refusal, take your time, imagine you are telling your story to a friend and you want them to get the "feel" of your relationship, put emotion into it!!

you should read some of the refusal threads and see what they are looking for, when they ask for future plans.....write in specific details the plans you have once your spouse arrives, ie moving to bigger place, saving to buy a home, saving to buy car, having children, investing, buying a boat lol what ever that looks like for your lives

goodluck!

Very well put Lois Lane as i dont think they have a time limit on a case if they read everything that is there(there job is to make sure it is a legit relationship)so they are going to look at everything so Lois is so right,it is you that has to prove to them right.

I suggest you write long, detailed answers describing all the details of your contact with each other, and include a lot of evidence of this contact. If everything is very well-organized, and the evidence is very well-organized, put in order, pages numbered, with an index describing what everything is, then it will be easy for the visa officer to go through. Long answers and a lot of evidence is only a problem if the visa officer finds it all hard to understand because it is a disorganized mess.

Quality, not length. Organize your package properly. It's a myth that you have to go into every detail, hence writing pages on your relationship. You are not writing a book. Simply summarize how you met, how you folks have kept in contact, etc etc. And then, have proof to back your story up. Goodluck!
