I got my second AOR today. Application received on 2 Dec 2010 with the new file number etc. Please update the spreadsheet. Also have a quick question about the fee. The letter doesnt say anything about the fees.?? Are they going to send me another email or letter once the review the documents? Also at what stage they are going to put the details in the ECAS. Thanks

If you have already sent your RPRF with your full docs, they will en-cash your draft and send you a receipt in next few days. If you have not sent RPRF then they will ask you for it when they request you for medicals. Don't know why ecas is not updated for all of us.

Did you send the RPRF draft along with full docs? If you didn't they'll ask for it along with medical request. Is your new file number from VO of the format EXXXX?

My new file number starts with B followed by 9 numbers. The letter says that this is my new file number.

Dear All,

Hope you all are doing gr8. I was not in touch for a month because of my marraige. Now i am back again.
Could you please share your experince on following queries:-

1. I am going to file my wife case as a dependent applicant. She's MBA finance fresher (regular). Do i need to update her and my passports now (at the time of filling forms) with the marital status or it can be done later. The process of editing passport is time consuming and would eat up atleast 2 months.
2. Her 10th and 12th Certificates are lost and process of getting duplicates would take 3 months. Please let me know what to do?
3. My present employer is not giving me experience certificate. However, they said they'll verify when they receive call from CIC office regarding job responsibilities. Please help what should i do here?

Hi there, did anyone receive their new file number after june 26 application? My agency forwarded my documents last week of September 2010. I have not heard any update yet and I am worried because my General IELTS will expire on February 2011. Thank you for the help.

Under the post-june 26 rule you have to submit your ielts result with the application. if you have done so then noting to worry about.

You can show below docs as proof of relationship for your wife’s uncle


Document which showing relation for spouse and relative.
like birth certificate of your wife and your relative's.

Close relative is a permanent resident of Canada
• Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292)
• Permanent Resident Card.
• Health Card
• Driving license
Documents can be submitted as proof of residency in Canada
• Income tax assessment
• telephone bills
• Employment document
• Bank statement

It wasn't requested but i sent it along with my documents as do most people.

This is the letter i got with my returned draft for RPRF.

Dear Ms xxxxxxx

UCI # XXXXXXX
File # BXXXXXXXXXXX

We acknowledge reciept of the documents and draft number xxxxxxx in the amount of $980 CAD for the above mentioned client. Please note that we are unable to process the application at this time as the draft you submitted with the documnets is made payable to the wrong payee.

Please note that drafts being sent to the High Commission must be drawn on a specific bank within Canada and made payable to 'High Commission of Cananda" in Canadian Dollars.

Kindly obtain the correct draft and resubmit to our office in the earliest possible time.
