Hi all,
This is my first time on this forum, My application returned by the CIO yesterday due to wrong payment of funds. How do i go about this.
I have been adviced to pay through a bank draft but i dont know what bank issues this in Nigeria and if they do know how to.
-Do i just ask for a bank draft in canadian funds?
-If I do manage to do so and return my application, would I be considered as a new applicant or should i make it clear that i was a june applicant so wont have to que up again?

I hope someone can explain in detail to me as i have so many questions.......

- Check with any of your local bank if they will issue a foreign currency draft or check in CAD, what they usually do is deduct money from your local currency account based on the exchange rate on that day and issue a draft/check in CAD. You will have to attach that draft/check to your application and send to CIO. Most banks will have a tie up with a bank in Canada, so CIO will encash your check like a local check.

- I am afraid, you will be joining the end of the queue. CIO usually doesn't keep a record for cases returned due to payment issues. What this means is you have to look if your NOC is in the new list published on June 26. If it is there, go ahead and submit. If it is not, then tough luck, you will have to try other routes

I just wanted to update my information on the list, my serial no. is 56.

NOC: 0213
Payment method: Bank Draft (The minute i issued this bank draft, the money was deducted from my account, so i am not sure if there is a way to know if they have cashed it or not yet.)
Awaiting AOR.

again half month has been passed of September... another 25 days to go for Mid october... so by then i expect my AOR...

Keeping cool.... n not counting days... keeping busy in my work.. and time flies....

hi,

If the CIO keeps on staying quiet like this, I think its goona take more than months to receive our AOR.
None of the post 3rd MAY applicants has got their AOR till date, then how r we supposed to get it in mid oct??????

So let us wait till November Mid or December mid.... who cares...!!!!! ;D

as i said: i am keeping cool and not in hurry to receive AOR, assume if i could have received my AOR - let's say in the month of August 2010, my file could have processed by and by December i could have landed in Canada... i do not wanna face sheer cold of Canada of Nov, Dec n Jan.... my plan is to move somewhere in March or April.. (as such in December the entire canadian job market is somewhat closed due to Christmas holidays)...

So, mates let’s keep cool…. n be optimistic that what ever happens… happens for the good sake….

@atul.amin: well, dont u think it could hav been better if we first receive the 1st AOR. n another thg is we dnt know how much time it wil take at VO.

The time/month of landing in canada in NOT a big issue, we can land any time within a year after we got the Visa.

but what can we do at the most??? Burn our eyes seating on computers, checking emails every on n off??, De-concentrate on our works etc..??
