I am convinced too that all May applicants should receive their AOR before us, but who knows, I really started to believe that they don't follow a specific pattern...

Anyway by checking the May list i found out that only 2 out of 127 applicants received their AOR specifically on 11th & 16th August.
The application was received by the CIO on May 3rd for both of them.
This is not a good indicator, at least to me...

Alas, I do not think they are kidding.

If your police certificate expires before they finalise your application, they can ask for another one. They probably will.

I think your guess is correct. However, contrary to May and June applicants, most of the April 2010 applicants got their AOR and submitting the full doc to visa office.

Nothing much to do other than keeping the finger crossed and wait!

I think you PCC will remain valid whenever you get the AOR. See the CIC link relating to police certificate. It says you should obtain it three months before you apply for immigration. You got your PCC after you send application to CIO. Read the link carefully and you will be clear about it.

Yes Azaman u r right...
As per Pre 26 June CIC Guide, you should obtain it three months before you apply for immigration and thats it.....
As per Post 26 Juen CIC Guide, as bp mentioned; This document is very vague. cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf Look at page 40, it says:

a) start gathering Police clearance certificate (PCC) when you plan to apply for CIO.
b) it (PCC) is valid for one year
c) you need to provide new certificate if your case is not finalized within one year of your validity of police certificate.
d) your police certificate can not be older than 3 months

and yes point (b) and (d) are contradictory...

My advice is to do whatever your visa-office specific checklists says to do. Many of them were amended around 30th August to explicitly ask you not to send them until requested by VO, but I am not sure all of them were.

Hi, All June Applicant , I called CIO last night and after complete Verification for my last and first name and DOB, the lady said that we are processing Applcation Recieved uptill May 3rd, and you need to wait for atleast a month more, then I asked whether they have any notification for my application received in CIO then she said it will be same as you received from your courries service,
I am astonished that CIO has no record of us evn after 3 months passed the file is lying as it was on 1st day , I was anxious about my DD which I enquired to her but she said , she has no idea of that as my file has not been yet..........I am June 23rd Applicant, any thoughts from other June Applicants?

Thank you Faisal for this information, I don't think thoughts or ideas will make any difference now. We still have to wait for a while...

anyone here in this forum who applied in june 2010 and still waiting for 1st AOR?

CIO recieved my application on 04th June 2010, as TCS mntioned on their trakking system.
but im still waiting for AOR.

TCS must have sent it through DHL or any other international operator. You`ve got to find out reference # of DHL etc. Ask relevant person in TCS to provide you with the details.

The only itching thing on the CIC URL I find is instructions regarding PCC. Although VO specific guidelines are there yet very vague on few queries that arise on process to follow.

If in any doubt whatsoever, then send it with your application. They cannot fail your application for including a document which is not yet needed, worse case scenario is they will ask for another one at a later date. However if you fail to provide something the visa office is specifically asking for then they can certainly fail you for that.

Better safe than sorry! :)

Can you please provide some additional information?
When did your application reach CIO, and did they encash your DD?
