Thanks guys for your wishes........
I wish everyone all the best..............

People whose CC/DD charged but awaiting AOR....my suggestion is to start arranging necessary papers early in advance so that once AOR is received....all papers can be sent immediately

My consultant said it would take another 2 weeks to receive AOR...and advised to do 'Police verification'.
Bcz in India, it takes more time than expected in 'sarkari kaam'.....So m gonna do that today bcz that wud also eat up atleast 1 mnth.......

Also, i dont agree wid d fact that Indian CC have problems when CIC charge money. In my case, it's a smooth ride.....evrythng happened smoothly...

Hi,
if u are from New Delhi then i will suggest you to get your PCC from passport office as mentioned at CIO website..it is a very easy and hassle free process, i got mine within two hours.

Hi ,that is my experience actually...All required forms are available at the passport office website www.passport.gov.in. I went with filled forms at Miscellaneous services counter at passport office and paid a fee of INR 300. They issued me a reference number and kept passports with them. They asked me to come to collect passports after lunch. It took 2 hours only, I think it's same in all over India.

Hi jason
I suppose DD encash takes more time rather than CC charge, so we need to wait more. but this is for sure that ours is safer mode of payment than CC.I think late is better than never.

@lakhvinder thats what I am thinking too DD is much safer than CC well good luck and god bless to you! =)

@ Jason above^^

Agree with you that DD is much safest way of payment than CC, moreover it is also important that the validity of DD must be of 6 month and not less, most of applicant forget to re-check with their Bank Draft about validity.

Some banks issues DD with validity of 3 months and some 6 months...

Good that my DD have validity of 6 months
