Pcc is required from country not by city.

Any pcc will suffice, delhi or haryana.

Dear All,

I have been asked by NDVO to re-submit PCCs for myself and spouse upto 7th July'12. Now i got stuck.

I got married on 17th Nov 2010 and i live in Delhi. My wife lived in Karnal, Haryana before marriage. I would get PCCs for myself and spouse (post marriage till date) from Delhi police. However, police in karnal are not giving PCC saying they have already provided it to me 1.5 years ago. They provide PCC on the basis of passport (my wife had haryana passport which i cancelled and made a new passport from Delhi) which is Delhi passport now. They are saying they will inquire from Delhi police also and i am sure this procedure will eat a lot of time and i won't be able to submit PCC on time.

I wanted to ask:-
If anyone has gone through with similar hurdle
What's the best way to get my wife's PCC from Karnal.
If this get delayed, then would my wife's Delhi PCC would suffice.
Can i request NDVO for extension due to delay in getting PCC from Karnal police.

Many thanks,
Anubhav

Dear Sandysurrey/Coolguy,

Thanks for the reply. I am attaching an extract of email sent to me by immigration section:-

•"From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate yourself and Spouse/Common-law partner. UPDATED INDIAN PCCs This must be received at this office by: 07/07/2012"

This is clearly stating i need to give original PCC from each country/state where i lived for more than 6 mnths.

Hi Anubhav,

It's a standard draft letter that they have sent to you , in India if you do a crime in any part of it , you wnt get the PCC .

Regional passport office Delhi PCC is more than enough as they check all your records before issuing you the PCC.

There are some countries in the world which issues PCC state by state

Don't go for the DCP office for the PCC as its a long process , RPO issues PCC in one day.
