Background checks involve checking the authenticity of your documents. If they have any doubts they may ask you for further proof of funds, education etc. They may also telephone or contact the employers that you specified in your work experience to confirm that you worked there for the duties mentioned in your references etc, this is known as verification of employment.

Basically their task is to satisfy themselves that everything you said in your forms and in your supporting documents is genuine and that there are no forgeries or misleading information in there.

Yea i am good waiting for my 2nd AOR, its good that you get all your docs ready and when you receive AOR just submit the docs next day it will save you time.

Can you please share the secret or success behind the documents submission the next day after receipt of AOR. For obtaining PCC only, we are awaiting the AOR, since the PCC application form cannot be filed without the file number in India. I hope the same stands for you. Did you obtain the PCC before you got the file number.

I want to apply for PCC before the file number arrives in order to save time, but I was told that the PCC application should carry the request from the embassy or file number, etc. In the absence of this information, they will not accept the application for PCC.

you can get it from the Passport Office as well. It will not ask for request form!

agreed. it's not CIC, but the bank to blame.
I would also give a try, if i were u.
there's nothg to lose, only the courier charge matters.
do write a nice cover letter explaining all the situations.

You dont neeed the file number to get the PCC, you can get PCC without that, i got my pcc from pakistan n australia and neither of them asked me about the file number, the only as the reason and you can just tell them its for immogratiion. PCC shud not me older than 3months from the date CIO recieved your application since your application has aready reached to cio you can get the pcc now and get together other docs as well because you guys have already lost soo much time in getting first aor so dont loose time from your side atleast you can do this rest is in GOD's hand.

Guys,, Should I write a detailed cover letter to CIC and send my application back to them as my consultant never asked my job duties?? I hope it's no too late.. I have not received my application and cover letter back from my consultant as well. Do I have to fill new papers or have to submit the old ones as is with detailed cover letter??

Jigayy your application was returned because of insufficient job duties
so I think it is not possiblethat they will accept you application but no
harm in trying.

I was also not sure that they will deduct my cc it was just pure luck
and some acceptable situation also that my bank required cvv no
and there is no place of cvv no in application, i was in mid of the
situation I cant blame anyone and I am too not responsible for this
fault also may be thats why they considered my request.

and as many people said bank is responsible for that, so guys bank was
not. I used same card but this time i supplied cvv no so make sure
who are using credit card supply cvv no also.

hi,
there is NO harm in sending the application again. But make sure that u hav a very nice cover letter explaining the situation.

only the courier charge counts, n there's nothg to lose.
