There are various views on it.

While some say - it is required to inform CIC, others say it is not.

I have seen a person calling CIC to ask about it, they confirmed that it is better to update, using CSE no documents were required as no points claimed for that job.

You could have but i dont see it as a big deal to be honest. You just list the jobs you can claim points for, it worked for my friend.
