Thank you both for your replies! I'm hoping all is well and smooth, and that I can return with information that current and future applicants will find helpful. I'll of course update this thread of my experience(s).
Hopefully it works out. I had an experience with IRCC holding out my citizenship oath ceremony because I had to travel. They seemed weird about it at first..I called n called n multiple emails and finally somebody responded and said I should let them know when I am back to schedule another oath ceremony. After I got back I sent my boarding pass to show that am back ; they didn't respond so I kept sending more emails and calling. They resecheduled me like 4 weeks after I got back but never responded to any email. So you can travel when necessary just will take a little more time and diligence bothering them after you are back.

Hi All,

As of May 28, the status on my tracker indicates that my background check has been completed. However, I have not yet received my P1 (or P2) email. I have a few questions and would appreciate your guidance:
  1. Is there anything I can do to prepare in advance to ensure I’m able to respond to the P1 email promptly once it arrives?
  2. Are there any documents or information I can prepare now in anticipation of the P2 email?
  3. My current work permit expires in August - should I consider applying for an extension at this point, or is that not necessary given the stage I’m at?

Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.

Hi,
I don't thibk there is anything that can be done while waiting for the final stretch. I think P1 or P2 ask for a photo for your PR card.
You can check the May applicants to gage how long it will take for P1/P2 and ECOPR which seems to be delayed for most inland applicants. Hopefully you get it before August; I think you will probably have everything before end of August hopefully Canada post doesn't go on strike. All the best. Also, I believe your SIN number can be extended with ECOPR before getting a card and maybe that can be used as proof of your new status

When in June did you apply? Am June 30th waiting patiently for background to complete.

Thank you for your detailed response. I will check the May group for additional information.

I applied on June 16th. Hopefully your updates come around soon as well.

Hi I am May applicant and still I am waiting for Ecopr since 2 months.

1) P1 email is very basic. It will ask for details like Name UCI, Last port of entry, date etc. Most of the info from your passport only.
2) It will take approx 3 weeks to get P2 email. Once you login to portal, 2 sections one is just to confirm you are in canada, 2nd part is to give your address(To send your PR Card) and digital photo (For PR card).
3) Once you submit details on portal, after 2 to 2.5 month you will receive eCOPR. So consider time accordingly.

Hi All, i received the P1 yesterday and reply it. well today i just receive the same P1 email from IRCC again, from the same office (Etobicoke), do i need to reply again or ?

It's quite odd—I came across a similar situation elsewhere where both the PA and Sponsor received the P1 email. It seems reasonable to respond to both, but if anyone has additional insights, please feel free to share.

What was your application submission date?

Hi, did any June 28th applicants receive p1? I got an email on May 28 saying that my biometrics results came back as poor quality, so I went to service Canada and did everything again 2 days later from that day. I feel like it'll get flagged as poor quality again though as my fingerprints are so light and I've always had trouble scanning them at the kiosk during immigration back at my home country's airport lol. But anyways just wondering if anyone's gotten an update. My visa's expiring at the end of August so I'm getting a bit nervous

For reference, I live in the metro Vancouver area and it looks like my application is being processed at the
Mississauga office
