Received P2 this morning (June 17, 2024/Portal 1 was sent on May 1, 2025)

Just a side note that I've been told that my credentials for the PR portal are incorrect for some reason, nor was I receiving any 'forgot my password' reset code. So I called the agent, and they said they have a specific department that's dealing with the PR portal technical issue, and told me they will email me with the contact info. While I was waiting, I tried using Safari(I was using Chrome mainly throughout this process) just in case to reset my password, and it worked ridiculously right away, and I was able to reset/login and submit everything on the portal.

In my case whenever I try from my work laptop (with us vpn) I won’t be able to log in. Whenever trying from my iPad (without any vpn) it works

P1: April 30,2025
P2:May 16,2025 (For some reason couldnt login and then mailed IRCC to reset the password)

PR Portal Reset: 23 May,2025 and thereby, uploaded the picture and the added the mailing address.

You’re lucky to try this method.I was devastated when this happened to me.

FYI, you can use chrome inspection mode to check the response received from your browser, which includes the reason why you are not able to log in.
If you see non-password related messages, your password is likely to be correct (no need to reset) but you are unable to login due to other reasons

Hi all,

DISCLAIMER: I know travelling outside of Canada before receiving the eCOPR, or even PR card, is discouraged, however, unfortunately in my circumstance this is not an option. So please before you advise I cancel my travel plans, know that I simply cannot - thank you.

A) For family reasons I will have to travel out of Canada for three weeks, I still have a valid work permit and I've messaged the email gave my P1 (IRCC Etobicoke from the attached PDF letter) my circumstance and departure and arrival details. Are there any other offices/emails I need to inform about my travel plans?

B) Under '1c' of this link, it instructs travelers to 'contact us using the email address on your invitation message.' Am I correct to assume that the 'invitation message' is the same email which sent the P1?

Any other advice regarding travelling whilst waiting for eCOPR/PR card would be greatly appreciated!

I am sorry to hear about your circumstances. Reply to the sender of P1 email asap and explain the urgency. In addition, do also submit a webform. However theres no guarantee as outland/inland is a fundamental change in the entire process. I heard about some cases in which IRCC can hold the finalization for the applicant for a few weeks but things tend to get uncertain at this stage.

If you have valid status, a legitimate reason, and aren't leaving for an extended period, you can travel outside of Canada. There's a common misconception that you can't—but that's simply not true. I’ve confirmed this with IRCC and multiple consultants, and I personally know several applicants who have traveled for work, leisure, and family matters without issues.

That said, this is not professional advice, so I encourage you to verify details yourself or contact IRCC directly. Wishing you the best!

Thank you both for your replies! I'm hoping all is well and smooth, and that I can return with information that current and future applicants will find helpful. I'll of course update this thread of my experience(s).
