June 2023 Visitor Visa processing delay

Hello All,

I applied visitor visa for my in-laws in June 2023, biometrics were done and updated in the portal on July 4th and no progress from then till now!
As my in-laws are based in India, and I applied the visa as Outside the Canada. I contacted IRCC both Canadian and Indian customer care. IRCC canada redirected me to New Delhi office, while New Delhi office doesn’t allow any communication by phone for Visa application. We also sent webforms but we are asked to do nothing but wait.

I appreciate if anyone has advices which worked for them.

Hey, i also have the same case. Applied in aug'23 bio done on 16th august and review started on 31st august. But no update since then. No reply of multiple webforms lodged. I wanted to compare the case. I applied tourist visa of entire family i.e me, spouse and son to visit my brother in law in canada. I am in govt job in india. I was confused if cases of entire family are delayed or of those who are in govt jobs are taking much of time. Do post your profile so that we may try to find some possible reasons of delay.

How old is son? Have you raised a webform?

Son is 5 years old.
I raised multiple webforms. For first 2 webforms(raised after 2 delay of 60 days and 90 days) i got a reply that application is within normal processing tines. Plz wait.
For third one, i got a message in tracker on 28th november: "we recieved your message". But no update. Den on 4th webform lodged on 25th december got no reply yet.

I am bit confused, If after reapplying again it takes dat much time and may be some background checks in my case r sctually taking longer and dos will again restart..
Moreover may be i wud be near to gettin any update soon.. for reapplying i wud need to get my present application withdrawn.. really into state of confusion.

Well then wait. Some people reapply and get approval within the processing times. Has eligibility started? Background completed? Are family members at different stages?

It means you are eligible for a permit, and assessment completed. Background check is verifying immigration information with countries you have lived in or visited. Background also means verifying that all documents are authentic. Usually background is completed first. You should have a response soon if eligibility is completed.

Tracker shows eligibity completed, background chk pending, but ircc account shows both eligibility and backgroung pending. What should i understand from that.
