Hello - I received invitation to attend the oath ceremony today! Scheduled for Dec 15th! Processing office is Mississauga. Everything else was set to complete on July 30. DM also on July 30. So basically I waited for four months since DM to invitation to oath. Hope this helps others wondering about the timeline! I will post here once I get the link for the oath with details etc..
Great to hear.. May i know your timelines? my application also processing in Mississauga office.. unfortunately no update after AOR in Nov-2020.

Hello members, Do we need to show the passport on citizenship oath ceremony ? or for Canadian Passport application ? My Indian passport is going to expire soon and am thinking to renew it which requires to submit the current passport.

No need for passport (although it is valid as an ID if current).
You will need your PR Card and one other ID, which can bee your Driver's license or Health Card.

Not necessarily. I'm a Vancouver resident (in the city center) and my processing office is Surrey.
Ahh, I had no idea. I started my application in Abbotsford and it was handled by Vancouver. But a coworker also going through the process lives in Langley and hers is handled in Surrey (or at least according to her emails). I wonder if there is a diversion plan where if there is a certain number of applicants are received in Vancovuer/rest in Surrey, vice versa or alternating months?

Yeah, I was surprised mine wasn't Vancouver! You're probably right and overflow goes to Surrey office. I'm hoping Surrey is faster :D

Oath completed Friday. It felt good. While the wait was long and depressing the process wasn't that bad. Eight years from Landed Immigrant to Permanent Resident to Citizen! It feels good. My daughter said, "Great, now you're Canadian like me!" It means so much to her.

Hi, I did my citizenship test on September 13, 2021. No any news regarding the oath. It is almost three months of waiting already. Meanwhile, I did not know how long would it take to get the invitation to take the citizenship test, and I had sent my application to renew my PR card in the end of July 2021. A few days ago my package to renew my PR card was returned to me (after 4 months and a few days) because I forgot to put one checkmark. I do not know what should I do now? Should I resubmit my package to renew my PR card (the PR will be expired on the 13th of March, 2022) or should I withdraw my application to renew my PR card because it is almost three month how I am waiting for the the citizenship oath? I do not want just be with the expired documents in Canada - just in case if I need to see urgently my relatives abroad. I applied for my citizenship in the beginning of June 2020. It is almost the end of 2021. I am literally speechless.

Very disappointing that IRCC wait 4+ month to check the documents. They think our waiting times are not important. Resubmit your PR card application with new updated dates because it's been 90+ days since you submitted your first application. Attach a note mentioning that your application was returned, so if someone with a heart saw it could expedite it for you. No one knows when you will get the oath. It may be in a month or a year from now. I submitted my application Nov 2019, and still waiting the oath, and I don't think I will get it anytime soon.
