Quick update for me too. I just received the Oath Invite today for a ceremony on Oct 27th.

Hello all, I need your advice on this. I have already moved to Stratford ON from Saskatoon. I’m planning to change my address and your input. I did my citizenship test in April 2020 and no update since then. Only background and test state completed. I’m June 2020 applicant.

My Information:

Application Sent: June 18 2020.
AOR: November.
Background check is complete and all other categories are still 'in Progress.'
Last update: April 23rd 2021

I still haven't been invited to take my Citizenship test. I ordered GCMS notes maybe 2 months ago and it said my application was still in the storage section. My office is Montreal.

Anybody in a similar situation? Are there any June 2020 applicants who have not received their citizenship test? I have a friend who also applied in June 2020 through the Montreal office and he's waiting for the oath.. and another one applied July 2020 and already took his citizenship test back in August.

You can request GCMS notes. It can provide you some info. It will not affect your file treatment/processing time.

Just a quick update:

Citizenship Oath = October 28, 2021
Received the Citizenship Oath Invite = October 19, 2021

We are family application and all of us received the invite on our emails at the same time/day.

This is unusual. There must be something with your BG check that is taking longer to sort, hence Prohibitions’ still outstanding. Have you been asked to provide FP?

Right?! That’s what I’m thinking it must be too. Yeah, I was asked for fingerprints in January and I sent them the same week as I recall. My tracker states they were received early Feb. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact I have a somewhat common name but surely this shouldn’t be hard to decipher from a difference in DOB, location, etc.

Just applied for GMS note yesterday. Also, I got NBPNP in January 2018, PR in june 2018 and in November moved to ON with a job. I hope its okay to leave the province since I got a better job. Any thoughts ? Stayed 5 months after PR in NB . Before that I lived/studied and work 7-8 years in NB .

It doesn’t matter where you live or where you nominated you can move any where as PR.
