June 2019 citizenship applicants

Nice to see so many test invite recently.. I’m seeing some 2020 applicants getting oath ceremonies as well. Anyone else waiting “in processing” since 2019 October? (2019 June single applicant 1200 days from Toronto with 8 travel records less than 7/8. Days each trip and 42 days in total)

kinda feeling left out now lol

My timeline is similar. Have not been out for last 4 years now. Just 1 travel after my travel. Called IRCC they confirmed it is in Scarborough eating dust, waiting for someone to rock it.

Are you sure they are from 2020 applicants or the applicants received AOR in 2020?
I havent seen anyone applied in 2020 received even a test. Not even 2020 urgent applicants received test.

What's Prohibition in the context of Citizenship application, anyone know?

Yea i ordered GCMS as well , hard to understand at first but
after review i see nothing has started for me other than police clearance
i realized the section to watch says:

I got 36 pages (first time and I have never contacted IRCC) and my app moved between 2 offices multiple times saying balancing work load. is this normal ? I do see a string that says "test ready"

GCMS notes say " eligibility assessment 2 eligibility prohibition not started"

What does this mean?

We have applied for my wife's citizenship, she has even completed her citizenship test on January 20,2020 but since then we are waiting for an oath ceremony.

in oath they mentioned-In progress

Anyone still waiting for request to do knowledge test? I submitted biometrics since oct 2019 and no response yet. My MP reached out to IRCC and they said they are waiting on testing to resume.

Which location you are? I am also thinking to meet MP to reach out IRCC local office as one of my senior friends suggested. But worried about doing that. thanks

It has been so frustrating to wait...
I had requested my local MP and received reply as mentioned below... I do not understand what is immigration verification.... any idea?

• The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on June 20, 2019.
• The application was considered complete and an acknowledgement letter was emailed to the applicant on September 4, 2019.
  • If they have not received this letter and are between the ages of 18 to 54, they can find the guide here.
• The criminality verifications are currently valid.
• The security verifications are currently valid.
• The immigration verifications have not been initiated.
• The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and the next step would be the citizenship test. Please note that we cannot confirm the date of the event. Once the office will be ready, they will communicate with the applicant.
• If the application is approved:
  • the next step is to wait for the ceremony appointment. At the ceremony, the applicant will take the oath and receive their citizenship certificate.
• If the application is refused:
  • a refusal letter will be sent to the applicant to inform them of the decision, and
  • the Right of Citizenship Fee will be refunded.
