Hey!

So the first time i sent off my application, i never received an AOR, it just got sent back incomplete because i forgot to attach my old passport information

I re-sent everything off and this time around i got an AOR, is that a sign that my application is complete this time or just something wrong with the system in that i didnt get an AOR the first time?

THE AOR signifies your Application is COMPLETE. That means all boxes are checked, and all material received. No AOR on first submissions because it was not a 'complete' application The AOR this time means it is now considered complete. You will now be grouped into the month in which the AOR was received.

Thank you so much, couldnt believe it when i didnt attach my old passport information on my application.

When they sent it back i was like NO WAY I FORGOT SOMETHING! then i saw it it and i was like, oh bugger.

Anyone know if I can email to get an earlier test date? I do not really have a legitimate reason. Is it worth trying?

No it is not worth trying. Just be glad you already got a date.

WOW you got a date already ?? You're in the first 5% of the group. Most people will not see a test until 2020.

I think its because I have a family sponsorship application in progress so maybe my background check was till valid .. maybe. Hopefully everything is approved beofre the new year

Could you confirm if the ECAS status says ' We have sent a correspondence" or similar message ? i am also waiting for Test invite. How will we be informed? as i have my lawyer represented for Citizenship application. Please let me know ?

4. We sent you a notice on November 13, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on December 19, 2019 at 6:30 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

I got the update via email the day it was sent, ECAS updated a day after

Can we exchange the "test date"? i am due to do my test on November 28 but i will not be available on that date. I thought i will have my test invite towards the end of November then it will take atleast a month or two for the actual "Test date" to come since my status became "In Proces" just October 28. So i booked a 3 weeks trip out of the country starting Nov 18, now i have to cut short my trip, sadly the hotel bookings and flight tickets were non refundable..

You can inform IRCC that you will be unavailable for the test date. They will reschedule you to another date. The risk in asking to reschedule is that you do not know when they will schedule the next test. Depends on luck of the draw.
