Hello all, one question, we have applied s family (4 members - Jun 2018 - 1160 Days - Current Status IN PROCESS). Still waiting for Test invite. One of the parent has to move out for few months period out of Canada. This can make issue in his acceptance.

If one of the parent (Who is moving out of Canada now for extended period and it can not be avoided ) does not get accepted, can other parent and 2 kids become citizen or CIC will stop the process for all 4 of them? Appreciate your replies. Thanks.

Either the parent who left Canada or the rest of the family has to withdraw his application, and the easiest is the parent as an individual to withdraw his application to allow the process to continue smoothly .

Thanks. But other parent who is moving out also want to become citizen. So if he doesn't withdraw his application and later gets delayed or rejected, will it cause trouble for other 3 members?

No the process will be pending ( in process) until he comes back. I know the same case when one family member was on probatory period with the court and everyone stayed pending after the test until he finished the probatory period (3 months) then everyone one was invited for the oath.

Isn't travelling out and probation are different things? Here there is nothing wrong. Just have to go out to other country for extended period.

If you apply as a family; you should perform the oath ceremony as a family, all together unless someone withdraws his application to let others get their ceremony done.
