We have received an Email yesterday (Sunday) from donotreply.. requesting the PCC and Schedule A.
I wonder, we haven't received the Sponsorship approval email yet. Can anyone let us know what is the content included in the Sponsorship approval? what will the email say?

Also to let everyone know; there is a New 'Schedule A' form. If anyone has already kept it filled you may have to fill in again in the new form. (just Informing)

The Sponsorship Approval is just a letter confirming the Sponsor's eligibility. I did receive request for PCC and Schedule A prior to my hub'a PA.

Is there a newer version of Schdule A or you are referring to the June 2017 version? anyways, always use the most updated one.

lets say they want to interview .. who will CIC interview - PA or Sponsor? Where will they want the sponsor to go for the interview if they are in Canada?

I read somewhere in the forum (I forgot) that they are to interview both PA and sponsor and cross check their answers.

from what i can see on cic website there are two schedule A forms 12/2016 and 06/2017 with the validate button. does some one know which is the one needs to be filled out for spousal sponsorship?

The new one (june2017). I included here the link for you:

You may try to search it on google. Type forms and guides CIC. Click Find application forms and guides. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/index.

Search for IMM5669 - Schedule A (background/declaration; to be used for IMM 5289)

There is a message in the sponsor's Online-Service profile stating:
"We sent you correspondence on ....... If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."
But no SA email and the status is "In Process". What do you think the correspondence could be?

The correspondence is for the docs request. Just wait for the SA. Your ECAS should say DM after some time.

Once the application is linked does the PA have to electronically sign the application to move it forward?

When you upload your docs on gckey, there will be a Next button. click that and it will ask you to electronically sign the application.

Leaving "place of birth" blank thing didn't work for me though. Thanks anyways.

1 qq - the online application says "Your Action is Required" but there isn't any message over there. Is this a standard thing?

I have the same thing. Have electronically signed the application, but it still asks me to electronically sign it. I'm not sure myself.

that's technically the action they wanted you to take .. lol .. i learned that later ..

you will get two emails shortly .. in few weeks (1 or 2 or 3 weeks time) - a medical request and to upload sch A and PCC documents .. may get them on the same day or separate days .. just don't panic ..

it's funny how i am asking everyone now to panic when i used to panic .. LOL ..

NO NO .. DO NOT SIGN!! that's only to be used once you have uploaded documents .. just sit back and wait for emails to come in .. they will say .. DO NOT REPLY and will ask you to go to your gc key account .. and that's where you will find out what u have to do ..

no. GCkey can only be linked to one account. You may continue to use ECAS tho

Yes. That's standard. That just means that eventually down the road you still have things to submit which you will do through your GCkey online account. I agree that the wording choice isn't exactly the best.
