i got the RPRF request within 2 day from the medical request in july. i didn't paid upfront.

Hey Guys!

I finished landing at Niagara Fall yesterday. Just want to share my timeline here.

June 10th, 2014. Application sent
June 13th, 2014. Application received by CIC
July 29th, 2014. AOR

waiting..... waiting.....waiting.....

Nov 13th, 2015. RPRF request. (exactly 17 months after CIC received my application)
Dec 16th, 2015. Medical request (CIC said medical request was sent to me by MAIL on Nov 12th, but I never received it. Another email request was sent on Dec 16th)
Jan 5th, 2016. Medical exam done
Jan 15th, 2016. PPR
Jan 29th, 2016. Passport back
Feb 6th, 2016. Landing (beautiful weather at Niagara fall yesterday)

I have waited 20 months to get my PPR. Almost 2 years! Hopefully this will give you some confidence. You will get it eventually, just a matter of time.

Finally my long wait is over....I have received my passports back on Thursday Feb 04, 2016 with PR visa stamped for myself and my spouse. Validity date is Jan 14, 2017 as we have done medical reassessment.

Jan 20, 2016 Passport Request sent and Visa office Change Request Made
Jan 27, 2016 Passport Request from new Visa office
Jan 29, 2016 Passport sent
Feb 6, 2015 COPR and Stamped Passport Received

and thanks for clarifying the medical reassesment issue now, so its basically qualifies as full medical, just with 2 tests and no blood tests, wow.. CIC amazes me

How long did it take after the medical reassessment? Our medicals expired on the 6th....I am worried they are going to request new ones and that will delay us even longer

Just checked my ECAS - long awaited Decision Made
.... Am from visa exempt country so expecting COPR to turn up in mail I guess!!
Wasn't even going to bother checking today as I'm so disheartened ... But saw some sept / August folks had some extra lines!!

it was just 2 tests, took an hour, and they emailed the next day itself.. n it was like 1/4th price of the previous one too..
