I got that request also last month, I emailed them a scanned copy PLUS the original was Fedex.

I hope they are not just extending all our PCCs and RCMP so they can get another 6 months to work on our applications :D :D

There is no predictability to this process anymore, in March/ April I was looking forward to landing in May/ June so my only hope is it might conclude before the 2nd year anniversary of my application.

im in india now for more than a year waiting for it .. do u think they will demand another medical if it passes february?

From what I have been seeing on the forum they are extending the validity of the medical. Some are saying they have to finalize your application before the medical expires or they extend the validity.

the extension may not apply for those who are now residing outside of Canada.

This may help with your question...

Q. What happens if the up-front medical examination results expire because of delays?

A. CIC has instituted processing changes and given priority processing to these applications to minimize situations in which medical results will expire before the application process can be completed. In non-routine cases, where the medical results expire, a new medical examination will need to be done.

Note: medical results are valid for one year from the date of the medical examination.

well i fear more time will be taken if they ask for another medical. not to mention another 100$ in the bucket..

All i hope is nothing else comes up now to delay it

I don't think it will be much longer for the rest of June applicants. A friend of mine applied in June 2014 and he just received his COPR last week and landed on Saturday. Things seem to be starting to move again. Just keep your fingers crossed.

If you have been out of Canada for more than 9 months they MAY request an updated Schedule A Background / Declaration (IMM5669).
