How much time generally it takes after passport is received by them?

You can also email the Minister of Immigration. It takes a while to get a response, but I got a response for my file after about 4 weeks.

My ECAS was updated overnight, now 6 line up from 4

1) We received your application for permanent residence on June 4, 2014.
2) We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 16, 2014.
3) We started processing your application on July 16, 2014.

I also received an email from CIC on Dec 04, 2015 to submit new India PCC again....I just got the new PCC yesterday itself and I would be sending them to CIC sometime this week/next week.....how long it will take CIC to take DM after receiving the new PCC? Also have you submitted your India PCC to CIC? I still have 3 lines only in my ECAS.

I got request for PCC and "SCHEDULE A" on 7 DEC
PCC applied for on 7 DEC and received on 8 DEC
Scanned copy of PCC and SCHEDULE A emailed to CIC on 9 DEC
Originals FedEx to CIC on 9 DEC, FedEx received at CIC on 11 DEC
ECAS update on 10 DEC
ECAS update on 15 DEC

Not sure how long it will take for DM after PCC is received but generally I've seen other applicants receive theirs within 14 days
My ECAS now shows 6 lines
I'm from Saint Lucia not India.

My Ecas status still shows IP with 3 lines, not sure whether ECAS status makes any difference??

I got my ready for visa mail yesterday afternoon.

My Ecas status still shows IP with 3 lines, not sure whether ECAS status makes any difference??

I am a july 09 CEC applicant.

Congratulations!!!, can you call the call center ask them whether your back ground check is completed.

Just got over from call with CIC agent, he said my application is approved and ECAS should be updated.
Checked my Ecas and its now DM.
Long wait got over!!!
All the best .. everybody's PR is on the way..

I called cic this morning and got through. The agent I spoke to confirmed all my details and then put me on hold for a few minutes. He came back and told me my final review was complete (done on Sat Dec 12th, it had been recommended pass on gcms notes Oct 14th) and a decision has been made. I asked him if it was positive and he confirmed that it was. I'm from a visa-exempt country and he said that the COPR would be mailed to me by the end of December. I told him that my ECAS still shows 'in process' with no update. He said once the letter gets issued, it will update. I'm going to keep an eye on that though.
Still a bit in shock. Called but not truly expecting anything positive as have been so used to waiting.
Just hoping everyone hears something soon!
