June 2014 - CEC applications

Hey all. Loged onto ECAS last Friday (Oct 16 2015) and saw my status changed from "In Progress" to "Decision Made"
I was asked to pay my RPRF Sept 24 2015 and i did that day. I havent been asked to send in my passport yet (from Australia) and was wondering if this was a good sign?
I havent recived any email or mail from CIC as of yet.

Here is my Timeline:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 27, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 14, 2014.
3. We started processing your application on August 14, 2014.
4. We sent you correspondence on February 24, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. We sent you medical instructions on July 31, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
6. Medical results have been received.

Any advice/opinions would be awesome!!

You're from a visa-exempt country so you shouldn't be asked to send your passport. My understanding is that now you should be receiving your CoPR in the post.

To save time, send a fax rather than a letter. We don't have access to fax so used a free online service hellofax.

We got a letter, they don't send anything by email.
Make sure you update us once you hear back from them.

Anybody know if its better to submit a paper application or online application for BOWP? From what I see in the processing times listed on CIC's website, paper application seems like a better option.

Any input is appreciated.

Depends what u r looking for.. if u need to travel and dont wanna be on implied status for too long then apply paper based as it is quicker at the moment...

Did anyone able to go thru Call-center in last 3 days ? I always get high volume call excuse.

I did get through on Friday.. i dont wait for prompts to press the right button.. i know its 1 1 3 1 so i just press right away as soon as next prompt starts... 70-80% of the time i am able to connect to an agent.

It seems if your timeline is more than 14 months from AOR, then unable to connect call.

So August, Sep, Oct can connect to the call to get a answer, 'call us after your 14 months complete from AOR'

I am considering applying under express entry. Does anyone know how much does it cost and can I have 2 CEC applications, one under old CEC system and another under new Express Entry CEC system?
