Call Mp? or Call center? I called Call center yesterday and was told .. they cant do any thing .. its up to the VO when he wants to process the files.

Its really lame on cic's part. I am going to loose a senior programmer's job because of these idiots. Call centre guys dont do anything either. I have requested a copy of my physical file through atip hoping that it would at least move my file from where it currently is sitting.

I am also a June 2014 applicant waiting for PPR after medical , Here is my case/story , I got RCMP request on 29-Jan-2015 , I sent it 10-Feb-2015 but again I got a request for RCMP on 04-Aug-2015 , I replied back with the scan of my RCMP( sent in Feb) , then I got a reply on 05-Aug-15 from CIC that yes they are having my file ....... after waiting one month I contacted the local MP for status on my file & his office informed that still RCMP is due in my file (criminality is in progress)............now I called CIC today , after so much convincing , agent opened my file & informed me that yes RCMP file is present in file but VO has not yet cleared the RCMP requirement, when I reqested if agent can do anything then I was told that a your file was access one month ago .....they can only escalate if file is not touched for more than 3 months ........... I do not know , When the VO will pick my file & clear the RCMP & pass my file for PPR.......... I am again seeking help from local MP office , if they can escalate...........Hoping something positive will happen :) ..............Best wishes to all applicants

Congrats minusham!! good to hear some good news. Hoping for more good news this week...

I am also June, 02 applicant and did my medicals on 21 Feb with my family (Spouse + 1 Child). I can see only one line in my eCase, nothing else.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 2, 2014. >:(

I called Call Center and agent said I need to call back them after 25th August (there is no 13 months time frame define), if I don't hear back anything from them by then. Agent said "No additional document is required as of now and your application is in process".

Where Call Center Agent check status..they do have access to file??? because I can see only one line in my eCase.

Experts comments required!!!!

New lines added in my ECAS today. last update was as above in month of Jul.. 07th Jul...

1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 2, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 15, 2014.
3. We started processing your application on July 14, 2014.
4. We sent you medical instructions on February 12, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I ordered GCMS in month of July and no one touched my file since medicals sent to us in month of feb. What does it mean of new lines? any VO is started looking my file now to review it or this is batch update?

I also got the lines two weeks ago. Nothing has happened so far. Things are only moving for July 2nd review cases at a snail's pace with all priority given to EE.

HI friend,
i summit my passport for stamping in new Delhi.

:)

Hey,

I'm June 10th applicant. No MR yet. Ordered GCMS notes twice, no one has ever touched my file after the 1st gcms notes, which is about 6 months.

Contacted MP, they said "the background check is still in process, but it is not done by CIC anymore, it will be done by external agencies, so CIC has no control over the timeframe." They suggested me to check back after Dec 14th. :( :( :(

This is the result after I contacted MP, the same as what the call center people told me.

There is one thing I don't really understand here. What is the external agency? If the immigration office does not evaluate our files, who else has the knowledge and experience to do that?

That's bullsh**t. There is some external agency that CIC works with for background check like CSIS for security screening, but that cannot justify every delay. CIC has no complete control over that but they can certainly try pushing it. Otherwise how dare they promise to process EE within six months. Or, if the external agency never does their job and CIC can't do anything about it, we will never get PR?

There's an interesting post on a very old case. The case was stuck in "background check" for years while CIC told the same sh*t (who knows where it really got stuck). Without any other choice the applicant finally decided to file lawsuits and "the moment you sue immigration, the wheels start to move and CIC tries to finalize your file before they have to appear in court". Here it is, http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/use-of-mandamus-t35955.0.html

CIC is lying. If someone is under background check, he can see it in GCMS notes. The reason we don't get PPR is our cases have not been touched for 7 months.

And the lame thing is that they tell this to every single applicant on all occasions. They know it's a lie and don't even care to hide it.

I feel like the CIC gonna put our files to no where. Why don't they just tell us that they stopped processing the remaining CEC cases? Well, not remaining, the cases in June, particularly.

By the way, Guys, I want to clarify one thing. I know the 14 months processing time starts from the date they receive the application. But until when? until MR, PPR or landing?
