Thanks a lot for the quick response! I did go to that page but it only displays NOC-B categories. I applied under NOC-1112.

Do you think there is any chance i'll get my AOR before the end of the month (I sent in my application on the 14th and it was received on 16th June 2014)? My PGWR is expiring in 8 days and I'm freaking out now.

Thanks again!

Hi,

NOC A applications still count towards the overall cap of 8,000 applications, but there's no sub-caps for NOC A.

It is difficult to predict but you can expect it to take complete 6 weeks as seen on the current trend of receiving AOR.

I see the current trend according to the google docs sheet is 42-43 days but as someone mentioned before, this is not even close to all the applications filed in June 2014. I noticed on the trackitt website that it took up to 50 days for people to get their AOR. I guess at this point I can only wait and see (fingers crossed).

Thanks for you help!

Someone in this forum had the same issue and he applied for the BOWP (paper application) before receiving the AOR and he got his work permit. You should contact him and follow his steps. His name in the forum is iheartsharks and you can see his comments about his BOWP on the link below.

Thanks Kamil,

I've messaged the user. I'll definitely send out a paper application today if that is the case (atleast it will buy me some time on implied status).

This forum is extremely helpful!

CC Charged on July 23
Application received at CIO on June 12

Woah! I'm going to wait until friday and I'll apply online without the AOR (along with all the documents this person sent + letter of explanation).

This would be the best thing, as waiting for the results on the paper application might just kill me.

Thanks A LOT Hope1957!

Guys check your CC charges and update..All d best!!!!!!!!

I have a fundamental question that need some help on resolving. I applied as principal application to PR on June 2nd (application received) and got the AOR on July 17. I currently hold an OWP dependent on my spouse's student visa. As far as I know, if she loses status (by dropping full time studies for example) my OWP would immediately be lost as well. Now that I have received AOR and given the fact that our visas expire on Sep 30, I am about to apply to a BOWP along with my spouse's.

Question is, now that I am applying as principal applicant for the BOWP and understanding that there are no pre requisites for my spouse to obtain an OWP (derived from the CEC PR process), what happens if she drops full time studies? Will my BOWP also automatically expire?

Thanks in advance for your help.
PS: This forum has helped my A LOT during my application process. Great idea and awesome people coming together to help others.

Anyine in this thread who submitted application before Jun 7 and still waiting for CC to be charged?

Folks, Till 12th June, almost everyone got their AOR but surprised to see no CC charges updated from 13th June applications.

Are we on track or CIC not doing anything for a week?

Good luck to all!
